Our Achievements

ACADEMICS:

  1. The school is proud of sending more than 800 boys to NDA over the past five decades. Besides this, an equal number of boys have also joined as officers in Armed Forces through direct recruitment. The school is also privileged to have many IAS officers, IPS officers, Doctors, Engineers, Judges, Lawyers and Managers as its alumni.
  2. The results of All India Secondary School Examination and All India Senior School Certificate Examination have always been encouraging. School has achieved 100% result in class X & 100% result in class XII for Academic Session 2016-17. 40 Cadets of class XII have got distinction and 11 cadets of class X have scored 10 CGPA. The school has bagged 4th position amongst all the Sainik Schools in class XII result. The school is sincerely working hard to further improve its academic performance substantially.
  3. Annexed Raksha Mantri Trophy in 1966, 1969, 1970, 1971, 1990, 1995, 2000,2014 and 2016 (NineTimes).
  4. Dr NC Upadhyaya, Senior Master awarded National Award in 1989.
  5. Late Smt Usha Kiran Bakshi, Asstt Master (English) awarded National Award in 2006.
  6. BN Jha, Mathematics teacher, Sainik School Kunjpura, with 30 years long selfless service to the school and society at large has been awarded the National Best Teacher Award for the year 2014 by the President of India, Sh Pranab Mukarjee at Vigyan Bhawan New Delhi on 05 Sep 2015.

SPORTS:

The boys of the school have maintained an excellent record of performance in the field of sports at Inter Public School, State and National levels meets. Our boys have also brought laurels to the Institution in Swimming, Football, Hockey and Athletics. School Captain, Sant Kumar represented India in the 1980 Olympics held at Moscow.

Moscow Olympics :

Col Sant Kumar is one such athlete who has carved a niche for himself in the field of athletics. He participated in the Moscow Olympics in 1980.

North Zone :

North Zone Inter Sainik Schools Sports Festival 2017-18 was held at Sainik School Ghorakhal from 31 May to 05 Jun 2017. 72 cadets of our school participated in the event. The school got over all 1st position. The event wise result of the festival was as follows.

Inter Zonal:

  1. 12 cadets of the school participated in Inter Zonal Basketball Championship 2017-18 held at Sainik School Kazhakootam, Kerala from 15 – 21 Aug 2017. The school bagged 3rd position in the championship.
  2. 12 cadets of our school participated in Inter Zonal Volleyball Championship 2017-18 (U-19) held at Sainik School Nalanda (Bihar) from 18–21 Aug 2017. The school bagged 1st position and won the Championship.

IPSC:

  1. 36 cadets of the school participated in IPSC Volleyball Championship 2017-18 (U-14, U-17 & U-19) held at BRCM Public School, Bahal (Bhiwani) Haryana from 19 – 21 Aug 2017. The school won the championship 18th time in a row in U-14 and U-17 categories.
  2. 12 cadets participated in IPSC Hockey Competition held at Mayo College, Ajmer from 09-11 Sep 17. The school bagged 3rd position in the Competition.

Mountaineering Expedition

→ All India Sainik Schools Mountaineering Expedition was organised by the school to Friendship Peak (5289 Mtrs) in Manali. Region from 01 June – 20 June 2017, 40 students of 18 Sainik Schools including 06 cadets of our school participated in the expedition. The expedition was flagged off by the Hon’ble Governor of Haryana Sh. Kaptan Singh Solanki on 01 June 2017 and was flagged in by the Adm Officer of the school.

NDA (National Defence Academy)

  1. Out of 65 Cadets of Class XII, 34 had cleared the written exam out of which 12 cadets joined NDA/NA for Session 2016-17.
  2. Cadet Sangram Chahal of the school has bagged 3rd position in All India UPSC Merit list of NDA 138 course, the highest ever rank by any cadet in the history of the school.
